For those of you new to gardening a perennial is a plant that comes back year after year. If you can landscape most of your yard with perennials then you won’t have to buy new plants every year. The other nice thing about perennials is that (as long as they don’t die in the frost) they get bigger every year. Eventually you will be able to separate the plant and have a new offspring to enjoy or to gift to others.
